Just spent the weekend diving headfirst into Honkai: Star Rail's latest event, and boy oh boy, was it a wild ride! The Enrolled Crepusculum is basically a buffet of battle challenges where you get to play with some seriously overpowered team buffs. I've been grinding this game since launch, but this event had me feeling like a kid in a candy store with all those trial characters!
The Event Basics: Scrolls, Buffs, and Mayhem
So here's the deal: we need to collect five scrolls from Amphoreus scattered across different planets. Each scroll is guarded by increasingly difficult battle stages that are like puzzles with punches. The more enemies you wallop, the more points you rack up, which means more juicy rewards!
Each battle stage has its own unique buff that can turn your team from zero to hero if you play your cards right. It's like trying to solve a Rubik's cube while riding a rollercoaster – chaotic but exhilarating when you get it right!
The event throws premium characters at you like confetti at a parade. I got to test drive both The Herta and Aglaea (the new hotness), plus established powerhouses like Feixiao and Rappa. And don't get me started on the support units – Robin, Ruan Mei, Sunday, Aventurine, and Huohuo were all there to play with! It was like borrowing your rich friend's toy collection for the weekend.
Each battle unfolds in two phases:
-
Buff Buildup Phase: Target specific enemies to amp up your unique buffs
-
Final Showdown Phase: Unleash your souped-up powers to mow down waves of enemies like a hot knife through butter
The final battle stage is where things get spicy – you get to pick TWO buffs from previous stages. Talk about a power trip! It's like being allowed to combine chocolate and pizza – things that are already amazing on their own become mind-blowing together.
How I Unlocked This Beautiful Mess
Had to clear the "Hero, Bear Thy Coreflame" Trailblaze Mission first, which was part of the Heroic Saga of Flame-Chase series. If you're a newbie, don't sweat it – the game has this "Finality's Vision" option that's like a VIP backstage pass. Just be Trailblaze Level 21+ and you can skip the prerequisites faster than I skip cardio day at the gym.
Battle Stage 1: Death Negotiation (Or How I Learned to Love Wind Types)
The first scroll was hiding in Bloodbathed Battlefront Castrum Kremnos. This stage was all about triggering "Frenzied Absorption" – basically turning enemies into kamikaze bombs that damage their friends. The buff was like steroids for CRIT DMG, making every hit land like a truck falling from orbit.
For premium players, I recommend Feixiao with Topaz and Numby. Topaz is to Feixiao what peanut butter is to jelly – unexpectedly perfect together. Numby helps Feixiao generate Flying Aureus points faster than a politician generates excuses during election season. Robin and Aventurine round out the team with buffs and shields.
F2P players can swap Topaz for Moze, who marks enemies with his Prey debuff like a cat picking its next victim.
Battle Stage 2: Rare Anecdote (Ice and Fire Show)
Found the second scroll in Eternal Holy City, Okhema. Here, you had to use Skills or Ultimates on Spirithief Bartholos enemies to trigger "Solved Departure." The buff boosted AoE attacks, making them spread damage like gossip at a small-town café.
The Herta absolutely dominates here, especially with Jade as her partner. They're like that couple at karaoke night who somehow make everyone else look bad without even trying. Jade's Debt Collector mechanic helps The Herta stack Interpretations faster than I stack pancakes on Sunday morning.
For the budget-conscious, Argenti can sub in for Jade, though he's like using a hammer instead of a screwdriver – gets the job done but not as elegantly.
Battle Stage 3: Unexpected Exchange (Break It Till You Make It)
The third scroll was also in Okhema. This stage was all about Weakness Break, with the "Targeted Break" mechanic advancing your character's action when you break an enemy's weakness. It's like getting a free turn for being clever – my kind of game!
Rappa is the queen of this stage. Her enhanced Basic ATKs bypass weakness typing like a VIP bypassing the line at a club. She's supported best by Tingyun Fugue and Ruan Mei, with Lingsha rounding out the premium team. Lingsha's summon Fuyuan gives Break DMG buffs that stack like dirty dishes in my sink – plentiful and effective.
F2P players can swap Lingsha for Gallagher, who heals about as consistently as my houseplants survive – which is to say, just enough to get by.
Battle Stage 4: Inescapable Fate (Lightning Strikes)
The fourth scroll was tucked away in the Abyss of Fate Januspolis. This one had me destroying armor stacks on Furiae Archer enemies to trigger "Multi-Strike Shred." The buff summons a "Shadesever Bow" that attacks enemies automatically, like having a ghostly archer buddy who's got your back.
Aglaea shines brighter than my future here. Her summoner style pairs beautifully with Sunday, Robin, and Huohuo. Sunday and Huohuo fuel Aglaea's energy-hungry Ultimate (350 cost – talk about expensive tastes!), while Robin provides damage buffs that would make a bodybuilder jealous.
F2P players can use Remembrance Trailblazer instead of Robin. The Trailblazer unlocks TRUE DMG multipliers that hit harder than reality after college graduation.
Battle Stage 5: A Bellow from the Brave (The Grand Finale)
The final scroll was waiting in Strife Ruins Castrum Kremnos. This stage jumps straight to the Final Showdown, letting you pick two buffs from previous stages. It's like a create-your-own-adventure book, but with more explosions.
I found two team comps particularly effective:
Aglaea's Summoner Team:
Aglaea + Sunday + Robin + Huohuo
This team generates so much damage it should come with a warning label. Aglaea and her Garmentmaker summon hit like they're personally offended by every enemy on screen.
The Herta's AoE Team:
The Herta + Jade + Robin + Aventurine
Perfect for crowd control situations, this team spreads damage wider than rumors in a high school. The Herta with proper Interpretation stacks is like a walking nuclear reactor – contained but catastrophic when unleashed.
The Sweet, Sweet Rewards
After all that mayhem, I walked away with:
-
500 Stellar Jades (hello, gacha pulls!)
-
150 Relic Remains
-
15 Traveler's Guides
-
15 Refined Aethers
-
20 Lost Crystals
-
15 Seedling Manas
-
350,000 Credits
-
1 Track of Destiny
Plus, if you've got the Battle Pass, you'll snag 1,400 Nameless EXP for clearing everything with 40,000+ scores.
Now I'm off to tackle the Hypogeum Enigma event or maybe push further in the Strife of Creation endgame. The cosmic train keeps rolling, and I'm just happy to be along for the ride!
What did you think of the event? Did you find different team comps that worked better? I'm still not convinced I squeezed every last point out of these stages, but then again, perfection is as elusive as getting all the characters you want without opening your wallet. 🚀✨
