Alright, Trailblazers, let’s cut the crap. It’s 2026, and I still see the same question popping up every banner rotation: “Should I pull for Acheron or Jingliu?” Both are absolute beasts, no cap, but honey, the meta has evolved, and your hard-earned jade stash needs a reality check. I’ve been maining both since their release, and after three years of powercreep, weird relic RNG, and some truly unhinged MoC rotations, here’s the no-BS guide you actually need. Let’s keep it 100.

First, a quick roll call for the newbies who just crawled out of Herta’s Simulated Universe. On one side we’ve got Acheron, the galaxy-trotting Emanator of Nihility who straight-up ignores the energy bar mechanic. She’s a Lightning Nihility unit that needs her squad to spam debuffs until her Ultimate is ready to delete everything on screen. On the other, Jingliu, the moon-drunk swordmaster from the Xianzhou, an Ice Destruction DPS who cycles into a transcendent state and starts slapping everything while consuming her own team’s HP. Both are 5-star, both are damage ceiling raisers, but their playstyles? Night and day.

Who Actually Carries Harder? The Role T-Pain

Here’s the tea, besties. Both Acheron and Jingliu are the undisputed main DPS in their teams. That means the entire party exists to buff them, debuff the enemies, and yell “You’re doing amazing, sweetie.” But the way they deliver that big pp damage is a whole different vibe.

Acheron is what I call an “Ultimate-bot.” She basically AFKs until her team stacks enough debuffs, then she drops the crimson sword and everything in a 20-mile radius gets Thanos-snapped. To get the most out of her, you must run at least one other Nihility unit (E2 havers get a little wiggle room, but we’ll get to that). This makes her team building a bit “square peg, round hole” – super powerful, but restrictive. In 2026, we’ve got a few more Nihility options like Acheron’s own variant, but the core struggle remains: she doesn’t play well with others who want to deal damage. She’s the main character, period.

Jingliu, on the other hand, is a classical hypercarry who doesn’t steal all the spotlight. She uses no Skill Points during her enhanced state, has self-action advance baked into her kit, and can happily share a team with another DPS. Think of her as the cool aunt who lets the kids eat candy after midnight. The synergy with Blade is legendary – she constantly chips away at his HP, he stacks his passive faster, and both delete content with minimal SP usage. For a double-DPS enjoyer like me, that’s chef’s kiss.

Bottom line: If you want a unit that moves six times per cycle and can flex into dual-damage comps, Jingliu is your girl. If you prefer the dopamine rush of a single 500k-screen-nuke, Acheron’s got you.

Kit & Build: Who’s More Wallet-Friendly?

Let’s talk artifacts, light cones, and the eternal copium of substat rolling. This is where the F2P homies need to pay close attention, because one of these characters will drain your resources faster than a Pom-Pom feeding frenzy.

Acheron is a high-investment queen. Her best-in-slot Light Cone, Along the Passing Shore, is so far ahead of every other option that it’s not even funny. All other cones, including the f2p Nihility ones, massively underperform. The difference is roughly the same as bringing a toothpick to a laser fight. Relic wise, you’re looking at 4pc Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters – her damage skyrockets against debuffed enemies, which is always. For planar ornaments, it’s Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm because, again, she wants a Nihility buddy for that trace bonus. If you don’t have her signature weapon and E1/E2? Yikes, the pain is real.

Jingliu is, bless her icy heart, so much kinder. The f2p Destruction light cone On the Fall of an Aeon (S5 easily achievable from Herta’s shop) is cracked on her. Her best relic set is still 4pc Hunter of Glacial Forest, and planar can be Rutilant Arena or even the newer stuff from 2025. Yes, her base SPD is lower than my will to farm relics, but with SPD boots and a few subs, she’s golden. The investment ceiling is there if you whale, but the floor is high enough that you can clear endgame with minimal stress.

In short: Acheron demands her signature weapon and very specific team mates; Jingliu works out of the box with what the game hands you for free. If your jade balance is crying, Jingliu is the no-brainer pick.

Teams: The Flexibility Factor

This is where Jingliu truly shines in 2026. Even after all the new Harmony and Nihility units dropping, she remains absurdly flexible. You can run her with Bronya/Tingyun classic hypercarry, dual DPS with Blade, or even a weird sustainless comp if you’re feeling spicy. She barely uses skill points, so your supports can go absolutely gremlin mode on their skills. A team of Jingliu, Ruan Mei, Fu Xuan, and Blade still slaps harder than my mom discovering my search history.

Acheron’s team building, though? It’s like trying to make a group project work when nobody wants to do the debuff homework. You need at least one other Nihility (Pela remains a budget icon), and ideally someone like Aventurine or Gallagher who can apply debuffs on the side. Running Kafka + Black Swan with Acheron is viable and disgustingly strong, but it requires 10x the investment. If you got Sparkle (Hanabi) and E2 Acheron, you can drop one Nihility, but now you’re in whale territory, captain. Good luck convincing your bank account.

So, Who Gets Your Pulls? The 2026 Verdict

We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve hated relic RNG together. Let’s wrap this up with a clean checklist.

acheron-vs-jingliu-2026-the-real-tea-on-who-to-pull-image-6

Pull for Acheron if:

 • You’re drowning in Nihility characters (or own Sparkle and are willing to chase E2)

 • You have (or will pull) her signature Light Cone – no substitutes, fam

 • You accept that your team will be a limited, high-investment comp

 • You lack a cracked Lightning DPS and your Kafka needs a break

 • You love watching an Ultimate animation that rivals an entire cutscene length

Pull for Jingliu if:

 • You value flexibility and a friendly F2P build path

 • You have no Ice damage dealer and Herta’s mini-wheels aren’t cutting it

 • You already own an S5 On the Fall of an Aeon and SPD boots with at least 3 good substats (we can dream)

 • You want a unit who can slot into almost any team, whether hypercarry or dual DPS

 • You enjoy seeing your character take multiple actions per cycle like a caffeinated rabbit

At the end of the day, both are still top-tier in 2026, but Jingliu’s forgiving nature and broader team compatibility win out for the average Trailblazer. If you’re a low-spender or just tired of sweating over every pull decision, Jingliu is the cozy blanket you need. If you’re a meta Andy with a stacked Nihility roster and a credit card in hand, Acheron will still carry you to glory. No wrong choices here, just different flavors of destruction. Now go touch some Stagnant Shadows and make Phantylia proud.
